Devon was a loving husband and father, cherished son and brother, and a loyal and uplifting friend to many. Devon wasn't a straight A student in high school, but he graduated from Cavalier Public School with perfect attendance and an ever-present smile on his face. He went on to graduate cum laude from the University of North Dakota with a BS in Criminal Justice. After college, driven by the attacks of 9/11, he enlisted in the US Navy. He was later accepted into the elite Navy SEAL training program, and graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition Training (BUD/S) with Class 267 in August 2008, where he received the distinctive recognition as Honor Man. He believed in the limitless possibilities that come with opportunity, hard work, and a positive attitude, and he loved his hometown community. That's why this cause is so perfect for his legacy.
