Scholarship Recipients

The Devon Grube Memorial Scholarship Fund will award at least one $1,000 scholarship each year to a graduating senior from Cavalier High School. Devon graduated from Cavalier High School in 2000 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UND. Driven by his desire to serve his country following the attacks on September 11, 2001, Devon joined the Navy in 2005 and graduated with distinctive recognition as Honor Man of his Navy SEAL Class 267. His focus always remained on God, Family, Country and love for his home town of Cavalier. Devon died in December 2016. This memorial scholarship will be awarded each year to a Cavalier graduate based on their application and the following characteristics that Devon demonstrated and felt so important.

• Outstanding attendance
• Embracing a challenge and never giving up
• Leadership with humility
